We aim to make all of our events and meetings enjoyable and informative.
Frequently the groups, organisations and individuals we coordinate our events with provide additional resources and support. In this section you can find links to the various parties we have worked with.
We also use this space to answer frequently asked questions and to publish information, news and updates from our members and committee.
Typically our meetings start at 7.30 pm and take place on the first Tuesday of each month. The President or vice addresses the members and runs through announcements along with regional and national matters from the Secretary.
The speaker is then introduced.
Refreshments follow (we ask members to volunteer on a rota to serve drinks and provide cakes/ bisciuts/ buns)
The meetings usually finish at 9.15pm
As well as the planned talks, contributors and demonstrations that frequent each meeting, we ask for a small cover charge for a ticket for priced at £1 which covers refreshment costs and entry into the raffle. Prizes are donated by members or local companies. We often have a Sales table – members are encouraged to bring books and magazines for swap or small contribution which is given to charity each year.
W.I.N.E is more than just a monthly meet-up, we aim for it to be a supportive and informative network of women who value one another and talk and listen. We have a number of channels of communication across members including Facebook, e-mail, WhatsApp and the WI monthly magazine WI Life that is posted out to all members.
